ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for a paddle to the secluded Pine Island on the Braden River, where we will clean up the island of marine debris that floats in on the tides. Single kayaks, paddles, and life jackets are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, unless you prefer to bring your own. Litter grabbers, trash bags, and drinking water will be provided. A support boat will be provided to haul marine debris that we collect.

This cleanup is suitable for ages 16 and older who can meet Manatee County's minimum eligibility requirements (see waiver below). This is an intermediate paddle suitable for strong paddlers, not beginners, due to crossing open water with possible wind and currents.

Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear that can get wet and muddy during this low-tide event. Closed-toed shoes or water socks must be worn - no flip flops or sandals.
